Rick is entering into his 43rd year as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and 47th year working as an athletic trainer. He is a 1976 graduate of Marietta College and earned his master’s degree from Kent State University in 1980 and an associate degree as a physical therapy assistant in 2013, both from Kent State University. He currently is working on finishing his Ed.D. in health science education from St. Augustine University for Health Sciences.
He is married to Judy Bond and has two adult children, James Bond and Erica Kozacek, and three stepchildren, the late Trey Travis, Lillie Bullard and Kyle Travis. Between the two blended families, Rick and Judy have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rick works as the athletic trainer for Walter’s State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee.
He enjoys fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is an active member of The Avenue Church in Talbott, Tennessee.
